COMING SOON - Winter 2017/2018 TICKETS AVAILABLE ON GROUPON (coming soon) Power Ops is proud to host ZTAG games at our massive post-apocalyptic gaming facility, located in in the heart of Atlanta. ZTAG is a tag game, where the zombies hunt down the humans and try to turn them into the undead. Players use an interactive badge system that illuminates who is human and who is a zombie. When a zombie gets within 3 feet of a human, the smart-badges use its proximity control infect the human player. It's like zombie tag, but without the need to touch, or to physically "tag" other human players.
The event field at Power Ops is a large facility consisting of multiple playing fields. Please see our gallery for photos. Games such as capture the flag, last man standing, "hunger games", team based games, and many more scenarios are all played here.
BRING IT ! - ZTAG is a highly active game, or sport, you could call it. Be prepared to run, sprint, and get your zombie fitness on. Proper attire for physical activity is recommended. We also highly encourage players to dress the part, so bring your military gear, tactical vests, camouflage clothing, zombie makeup, and cosplay costumes to add to the fun!
Entry fee is $(see Groupon deal)/first time player which includes the ZTAG badge that you get to bring home and keep! Players returning with their own ZTAG badge only pay $15/entry. Extra batteries are available ($1/ea.) if yours runs out. Batteries last between 8-16 hours.
FAQ: WHEN? Games are every Saturday evening from 5-10pm. You can show up anytime between these hours to play! Ages allowed to play? Power Ops has a 10+ year old minimum requirement. Kids under 14 must have a parent present. Most of our players are 20+, so we're more of an adult field. Can I use my airsoft gun? - No, this is a separate game format at Power Ops that utilizes no guns. No weapons/airsoft/rubber knives/paintball are allowed. Do you tag people? No, absolutely no contact with other players with ZTAG. This is a contact-less sport. The badges do all the tagging for us via its proximity computer control. Do you need eye or face protection? No safety gear is needed. Airsoft guns and other projectiles are not allowed. Can I use smoke grenades? Yes, we encourage smoke grenades. Please do not throw at other players and be smart about it. Smoke is only for non-sanctioned games. League play does not allow them (as of now, TBD). Can I use sound devices, Thunder V, etc? No, these are not needed for ZTAG. Save them for airsoft use. Fast or slow zombies? There's always been two schools of though on this hotly debated zombie topic! In ZTAG, the zombies are fast! Think '28 Days Later' style, not 'The Walking Dead' slow walkers. Although, we may do some slow walker zombies for certain scenarios and games. We will leave it open ended. What do I need to bring? We suggest running/fitness shoes, activewear/fitness style clothing, military clothing, costumes, zombie costumes, cosplay gear, silly costumes, tactical vests, etc. Be creative with your look, but be comfortable and ready to run. This can be a physically intense sport with fast sprinting. We also suggest bringing water, snacks, etc. We have large staging areas with tables and chairs you can safely keep your stuff at while in the game. Most players bring a backpack with their gear. We do have snacks, bottled water, cold drinks, Coke, sports drinks, and other goodies available for purchase at our pro-shop. Can I bring food and drinks? Yes. Order a pizza and have it delivered, we don't mind. Save us a slice! Can I bring alcohol, beer, etc? No, we kindly ask you enjoy your booze after the games and off our property. No drinking allowed on our premises. More info TBD
